Collage - Mudlarking the Sheepscot #1

Mudlarking the Sheepscot #1 is a 16 x 16 oil and cold wax collage on wood panel with various papers, original stencils and printed material.  In the mud at low tide along the Sheepscot River bank one can find relics of industrial history - old boat yards, fishing wharves, lumber mills and dumps where interesting relics can be found. This process is called mudlarking. Broken shards of pottery, bottles with labels still attached, coins and buttons. After photographing these found treasures, they become stencils printed on the collage itself.
