I am excited to announce my partnership with Sarah Riley, Robert Shreefter and Marc Strauss at Off Main Gallery, Wellfleet. We are fortunate to be housed at the former Frances Francis clothing boutique across the street from Preservation Hall.  Special events,visiting artists and plenty of parking.

We are now into April and I believe I am One Lucky Cat. Along with the crocus explosion and feeling a burst of creative energy, I see fresh opportunities popping up  as I prepare to open Off Main Gallery, 326 Main Street, Wellfleet on Memorial Day. Grand Opening for Off Main Gallery, 326 Main Street, Wellfleet. A co-op venture, housed in the rustic barn of the former Frances Francis shop. At OMG I will exhibit luscious landscapes including Duck Creek's tidal flow and grasses, Tim's Bridge and Mayo Beach; oyster shells, oyster shacks and doorways; vintage buildings including recent Pine Point cottages;sea life, and cartography -  some with addition of map monsters. Spring News! Moved closer to town on Cahoon Hollow Road, my new studio and showroom by appointment. Sunnier space, skylights, big painting area. Summer plans: as well as being an exhibiting member of Off Main Gallery, (grand opening May 2017), I'm in the creative flow and the creation of "Solarium"  and welcome old and new customers. On Saturday September 17th, a fund-raising champagne party was held at Strength and Charity Pilates/Movement Studio in Provincetown. I donated several paintings including the one featured here, "Great Marsh" oil on paper shown here and several oyster paintings. The oysters all sold out at a 50-50% split, with orders for more 6" x 30" and one at 6"x 34".

"Great Marsh", oil on paper,rests on my easel before being donated to silent auction/fundraiser at Strength and Clarity Pilates Studio, Provincetown. Shaun Edwards, owner and instructor, supports dance programs started by his son prior to his untimely death. Money from event will go to ballet instruction for high school students. The crab lithograph also posted is one of several works that can be purchased through nancynicolart.com web store or through Shaun at the studio.

Gray September days are perfect for painting historic weathered oyster shacks. Oysters and other bivalves also seem to respond artistically in less natural light and indirect slant of the sun. I have several canvasses primed and ready to go, keeping up with my commitment to paint every day. From the 7th to the 14th, I'm managing The Works Gallery, Briar Lane while Anne and Paul are away. Several paintings from my store are there for purchase.
