Another in a series of commissioned oil paintings, on canvas, 45 x 82 inches for a home in Truro, MA. The project was a collaboration between customer and myself, so it was process as well as a lovely and much appreciated end product. To work this large, my studio had to have a few accommodations and since i prefer to work in daylight, had to schedule carefully to paint around the same time each day. It was a very opening experience to work large again, as I have for a long time kept my paintings to 40 inches square since exhibits often limit size. And for a painter who usually paints in private, I was pleased to collaborate and have direct customer input - which is the requirement of any commissioned work.
