[Art Commission] Wellfleet Oyster Shack and Boatyard C. 1900

Art Commission 36 x 48 oil on panel for new home in North Truro. Painting of historic scene, Captain Everett Higgins' Shellfish Company in Wellfleet, later called the 'Spit and Chatter Club' with dragger and rowboats and the 'Lemon Pie ' Cottages on Milton's Hill, which blew down in a hurricane.

The client saw a small version of this painting at Burdick Gallery and requested a similar and larger one for a special wall in his new home.

Orders taken for historic and current Wellfleet and Outer Cape scenes, marshes and wetlands or perhaps a special and personal view of your own choosing.
