Sea Life Full August Sturgeon Moon with Flying Fish
Wellfleet Moon series - 12"x 36", oil on canvas. The Sturgeon – the oldest living fish of all, archaic prototype of fish as we know them…rather too cartilaginous to eat but produce caviar known as Tobiko. Caught in the Eastern River, Dresden, Maine and as far north as the Great Lakes. A fascinating subject to paint, this one is depicted with three flying fish.
Sturgeon Moon is the full moon for August, its name originating with the Algonquin tribes. One of a kind and collectible.
