Description

This is a 5.5 x 5,5 oil on canvas painting of a Wooly Bear on a gingko leaf, framed by the artist with weathered wood strips. Wooly Bears are covered with dense stiff hairs and are credited with predicting how cold the winter will be. These caterpillars emerge from their cocoons as Isabella tiger moths which are seen in many cold regions including the Artic.
